At the beginning of the year, I vowed to get made up just because. No rhyme or reason needed.
Luckily, to help kick off my new beauty routine, I received the Laura Mercier Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays
complimentary from Sephora and Influenster. The eye shadow palette comes with six, highly pigmented clay-textured eye colors in matte and metallic finishes— plus, a setting powder to prolong wear.
The first thing I noticed is that the pigmentation is out of this world. The Editorial Eye Palette features studio-inspired, high-performance brushed metal and matte textured clays to give you intense color without any shadow fall-out. The soft, flexible, clay-like hybrid textures apply beautifully with a unique, wet feel that seems to melt onto your skin.
There are a few ways to use the palette, which varies from traditional eyeshadows:
- For an editorial smudge look, use an eye shadow smudger or crease brush and blend eye color along crease to the lash line for an editorialized, smudged eye look.
- To create a graphic line, use an eyeliner brush to get a precise thin line or thick smoky line.
- For a textured look, press fingertip into texture and apply in a tapping motion onto the lids to create a smoked veil.
- To set the look, use an allover eye shadow brush with the Air-light Setting Powder to keep everything in place and prolong wear.
